In the Bible, the wife of Lot is a figure first mentioned in Genesis 19. The Book of Genesis describes how she became a pillar of salt after she looked back at Sodom. She is called “Ado” or Ildith or “Edith” in some Jewish traditions, but is not named in the Bible. She is also referred to in the New Testament at Luke 17:32. – Wikapedia
I’ve had this idea for a while after noticing the incredible amount of very average looking churches in and about the suburban neighborhoods of Shawnee and Lenexa, Kansas. The second half of the video is an inspired homage to my favorite dancer, Nan, as well as some of the amazing local Kansas City burlesque that I’ve been lucky enough to witness at the now defunct Weirdo Wednesday’s Supper Club at Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club in KC, MO.
