Sometimes our name
Comes from
Where we are born
A berry of the earth

Sometimes our name
Comes from
The tools we use to survive
A berry of the sraw

Sometimes we do no know
The story of our name
And sometimes we
We choose to forget

There is so much earth
And only a small part is human

We are sending waves of energy
All the time
Even on the couch
Even when we sleep
Sometimes we work harder
In our sleep

We go to the apothecary
To feel better
We work from the inside
With the chemicals
Of our own bodies

img_5510.jpgYour body is a light
Hanging from the ceiling
The curves of glass
Smooth and dangerous
When there is too much milk
Too much butter
When our muscles are hung over
When you wake with the cat
On your chest

The windmills are resting now
A tree has fallen among others
We use the corpses to shield the living
From the harsh sounds
Of the autobahn
The wall full of band stickers
And we don’t recognize a single one
Sometimes this is comfort
In a dark forest

But on stage it’s the light
With a little smoke
But the light
That makes you beautiful

Berlin @ Internet Explorer 11/7/17 #poetry

We used to dress up
To fly on airplanes
We smoked cigarettes,
Talked to strangers
And drank Champagne
At the bar…
Thirty thousand feet
In the air
The air moved around us
Really really fast

There is a plant
In some dirt
In a pot
On a table
On a rung
On the floor
In a room
In a building
On a street
In a city
Near a place
Where a wall
Used to be

You must be so tired of hearing about it
Tired of alway locating the right history

Sometimes I laugh when I’m nervous
It’s not uncommon
We both know it
Why would you make me say it?
Why would you be so cruel?

We can’t get through this with
One kind of thinking

The cars pass by outside
Like waves in the ocean
From a beach that is moving
From side to side

A cat is keeping time in the kitchen
Wirh her eyes
