If the cheese fits wear it
Green dreams and
Plotting plants

Arranging the hay
Jerking off in the straw
Fighting the waves of assumption
Too much rock is the perfect amount

Hills covered in
Ronald McDonald hair tree tops
Scientific forest firing
Blankets of light
Sent here to keep us warm

Grateful for the pain stage
A snapshot of a beautiful life

Growing up in the shadow of a skyline

Mind blowing itself
At all the things it can do
Loving humans for now

Allow me to introduce you
To my new partner: Excellent Sandwich

Rosy touched up faces
Tall tales with
Larry Crane speech patterns
On and on

Skip the interesting parts
We’ll choose to live them

Show Poem: October 14, 2016 Pittsburgh, PA @ Station P #poetry

I am awake with coffe cake
Although pumpkin bread
Is what I wanted

Slow roasting Adams Rib
The dancing boy is helping

Losing your shoes
Finding your mind
Smoke filled rooms
Checking out at noon
The comforts don’t comfort
Like they used to

We slide through miles of blasted rock
Stained with generations of foreign sweat
Our wheels pack the graves
We stand on the shoulders
And soak in the applause
Like we lit the fuse ourselves

Purple flowers by the road
You are not the first person to dance

Cheese curds and root beer floats
Hot sauce and egg rolls I’m tired of
Chasing that pea down the street

There’s so much health
so much beauty
so much rock

Bacon and eggs will break your legs
But kale will never skirt you

Needy cats in the morning
Showering in the drippy love of friends
Strangers and lone rangers

Try to detect it…
It’s not too late

There was a time
We did everything in cars
Except drive them
For very long distances

Sometimes it’s about how much
You can do between the lines

A hawk circling for road kill
Goats grazing in a pin

So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw

Bubbling like a bunk bed
Cowboy sheets and frog terrariums

Free water everywhere
How could we fuck that up?

Three ways to stop dementia:

Buy more records

We all grew up differently
In different shades of light
Squares fit into circles
Circles fit into squares

The flavors in your mouth
Are geese in the clouds

So
Chase them.
They will constantly change
Just like you

An everlasting Gobstoper
Never smaller
Never larger
