Show Poem: Look inside the light and Don’t forget your sunglasses… July 11/ Cincinnati, OH / The Comet #SchwervonPoetry

No pets allowd
At the welcome center

You could tell by the way
She folded her arms
She’s was box office poison
A gal from the sticks
With a heart of oak
And a wooden smile to match

There’s something a
Little too sensual about
The mouth feel of this candy

Do you have any idea
How many times you’ve
Said the f word over the course
If this conversation?

Peeing makes me have to pee
The hospital made me sicker
Engenieering a longer lasting flavor
The shortest distance between
Two pains

The long lost art of
Practicing delayed gratification

Brushing off demons  with
The soft catlike hair
Of an old man

Making love to a wall
That beats me every night

We all lace up our diamond
Encrusted cat skinned
Girdle the same way
One soggy cornflake
Soaked moustache at a time

Look inside the light and
Don’t forget your sunglasses

Watching the numbers rise
Spin out of control

Hell is for real
And it’s full of people
Who feel the need to
Advertise it’s existence
On billboards from the
Side of the highway

Beans in a bowl
A relatable stranger
It’s the little things
This is not fun
This is not supposed to be fun

Show Poem: Goddamn this rattlesnake heart… July 10/ Columbus, OH / TreeBar #SchwervonPoetry

I fell asleep in a barn
And awoke in a palace

Goddamn this lighting sandwich
That pulls my teeth apart

For every single new day
Goddamn this rattlesnake heart

An old lady scoops gelato
Slowly and deliberately
As if molding a pot
Or shaping the features of a sculpture

The Cranberry never falls far
From the Zombie
It’s good to know
What side your bread is
Jellied on

Tiny donuts with eyeballs
In the center
I do a lot if things
I never dreamed of

I pay for parking
All the time

Toad skinned logs
Burning in the fireplace

What kind of shoes
Will you wear to
The party?

A sea of air conditioners
Purring in the background
Backstage
They keep the busy bar
Staff cool and nice

Wire hanger on the floor
A broken toilet seat
A step ladder and
A old vacuum cleaner

A chocolate coffe keeps
Things interesting
Worlds of possibilities there
If I allow myself to stare

Show Poem: YouTube is mad at Facebook… July 09/ Pittsburgh, PA / Gooski’s #SchwervonPoetry

She was the kind of girl
That seemed off balance
Without a beer in her hand
One arm slightly longer
Than the other
Head permanately tilted
To the right

The Car rings like an old telephone
The heavy air almost deafening

YouTube is mad at Facebook

I slept at the old Smucker
Farm last night
My pillow was full of jelly

I dreamed all
The lost phone chargers
The clean canteens
And fancy face soaps
were back with me

I swear I felt that bird
In my hair
Came swooping down
And nearly missed the car

Sad people who don’t
Know how to eat
Like every meal requires bread

Trying to soften the blows
Of the many Passing days

Hot sauce nightmares
Tickling the squares

Everyone has a shady side
Blowing smoke up
Our own asses
Romanticly using the past
Dissecting our
Cancerous butt lungs

We cough up the fantasies
All over our children’s children
