When we’re young we don’t know
As much about ourselves
We eat lots of bad cake
Take it out on the world

Ice packs on your tongue
Beercan stigmata
Designer flagellation
Perpetual hair shaping

The pain gives us wisdom
Gives us light and candles

Painted yellow sunsets
And eyes unnatural to make up

Your eyes work both ways
The first time I saw them cry
I wanted to run and hide
I wanted to fight with myself
I wanted to to do something

I’ve learn so much from those tears
I learn to feel things
I learn to stop fighting
And most importantly
I learn to love the smile that
Will eventually come, even more.
Because that’s what tears are for.

Show Poem: September 12, 2017 Brooklyn, NY @ Silent Barn #poetry

Never the same never different
A little colored tile in the right place
It all works like an apple
Stem to core
Annoying little sticker
I actually found a worm once
It was the best fruit I ever tasted

All hail Defender’s Day
Release the stars
From your spangled banner
Unnoticing the trash
Refined art theough choking
Unpainted drywall
A single red bra
Dangling from a wire hanger

Pigging out in bed
After a well lit easing with friends
All hail human beings
Inventors of the puff
The sound of hungar
Leaving the bidy

Buses and trains
Learning to attach
“the particular auditory effect
produced by a given cause”
I don’t need to live this life again
I’m taking is all in this time
and the second

With beautiful beautiful memories
Like beatiful little birds flying
In and out of my window

Show Poem: September 9, 2017 New Brunswick, NJ @ Volume IV #poetry

I always forget your birthday
Because I never want to think
About good things having
A beginning or ending
How’s that for a flakey excuse?

In the distance I hear metal
Ladders being extended
And contracted,
Like shot guns cocking

The sky is so blue
From this side of the building.

Laundry drying on the line
I want to squeeze this day with both hands

Two headed Jesus on the wall
Covering all the bases

The lizard king is taking a day off
Work on his chip shot at the range

We return to Mamoun’s Falafel
Like a beacon in the night
I always us a little too much hot sauce
I try to cool my burning lips
With sweet mint lemonade

We step into a sea of
red clothing and young adult drinking
Behold the great petrea dish
Testing the legs of the birthing table
Mixing the batter
Equations that lead to formulas
Social lives live and die here
But tonight we live
