Do you like indie rock? Me too! Have I got a night for you! We are very excited to be sharing the bill with our pals from back east the incredible: Speedy Ortiz. Pitchfork recently described their sound as “…the squalling, guitar-on-guitar carnage of Archers of Loaf, the grungy mysticism of Helium, with the deadpan wit of vintage (Liz) Phair…” And that sounds pretty good to us. Also on the bill is the amazing local art rock band Lazy. $5 adv./ $7 at the door. The fun starts at 8pm, this Tue. /July 16th at The Czar Bar. Check out the Facebook Invite for more info.

We went on a fabulous adventure to Union Station and The Crossroads District of KC this past weekend with our new friend from Buffalo, Yonghee. It included a nice strong coffee (and pumpkin cookie) at The Crossroads Coffeehouse and a plate of ravioil at YJ’s. Here’s a handful of pics that Matt snapped of the days.
