Philly BBQ Rock Show Tonight: July 3rd

SCHWERVON + TED NUGENT
TUESDAY, JULY 3rd BBQ ROCK SHOW!
@ Great Indoors (email: ghostlightbooking@gmail.com for address!)
Philadelphia, PA / Nite starts 8pm!

Present from our friend BillThank you New York for welcoming us back with open arms. The Brooklyn show on Friday was down right spiritual. Big ups to Berth Control, Supercute, Freddie Fox & Trixie Rose, John S. Hall’s impromptu poems and those super nice fellas at Big Snow. Check out these AMAZING sculptures that our friend Bill gave us at the show!!!

The Beacon River Fest show the next day was a pure relaxing delight. Loved the pulled pork tacos and sweet potato pie. We even found a bag of weed in the parking lot which we passed onto our friend Anthony. Score all around!

And last but not least the Goodbye Blue Monday solo night was a wonderful homecoming. It was nice to share the stage again with Julie and Gold as well as discovering favorite new local band Heavy Birds. Thanks to Steve and crew at GBM for always being there.

Nice Spread
Nice spread at last night’s Humboldt House Party. It was nice to be able to visit our second family in NYC so soon after our relocation. Nan and I miss and love you all so much. We feel truly blessed for having such wonderful friends.

Summer Sun Tour 2012: Buffalo, Rochester

IMG_2232Had an incredible all ages dance party at The Vault in Buffalo two nights ago. Thanks to Settlers and the amazing Jack Toft for shooting the breeze and getting down with us. Also big thanks to Aimee, Joel, and Joe for letting us crash in their very comfortable living room.

IMG_2236And big ups to Roland, my sleeping buddy in Buffalo. You are like a well adjusted Gummo and almost as attractive.

Last night we reunited with our old friend Seth Faergolzia for a relaxing house show at Meddlesome Lab  in Rochester. His latest project, 23 Pssagz, is not to be missed. The night was rounded out nicely by locals The Sleep Soundlies and Brain Blatt’s (Gaybot, DUFUS) awesome new project: A Victory For Upfish. Also great to meet Laura and get in a little butterfly hunting with Anouk before hitting the road again.

Summer Sun Tour 2012: Toledo, Akron

Things are looking up. (Akron, 2012)Things are looking up!

Ottawa Tavern, ToledoHad a good Sunday night in Toledo (despite the typo). We crashed with our friend Justin’s (Elastic No No Band) parents. They are very very nice people. His Mom made us some delicious sandwiches. They were good sports and even came out to the show.  The next day Denis (Dad) told us that both he and a friend of theirs, who was at the show as well,  both saw spirits on stage performing with us. He said that we weren’t alone up there. I thought that was kind of cool and a nice thing to think about.  Also on the Toledo bill were a couple of cool bands from Milwaukee: The Fatty Acids and Sat. Nite Duets.

John's place in Stow, OHOne of the cool things about playing Akron last night was staying at our new friend John’s house in the nearby town of Stow. It’s very peaceful. We fed stale bagels and hamburger buns to the fish and had a nice relaxing walk.

Croc
John has a lot of cool collectibles in his house. “G’day mate!”

Pete LaCockI remember this guy from my childhood.  He was a real heart throb. Never thought about the name.

With the show at The Vault in Buffalo, tonight, we officially re-enter the east coast for the first time since we moved to Kansas. We’re excited to visit with friends. See you soon NYC!
