I used to love fear but now it bores me… Sunday / November 9, 2014 #SchwervonPoetry

I used to fear sleep
but now I love it
I used to love fear
but now it bores me

Distraction is a way to be happy

Like a horse on the prairie
Run to the music of
Your own gallop

Gal up gal up Gallup up up up

The galloping ghost
Will appear in your waking moment

Drive fast,
get drunk,
stay up late

The man will give you
Lots of chances to feel
Free

Pay no attention to the man
Or the man
Behind the curtain
Or the man in the moon
Stop waiting for your man
It could be a woman
It could be a sandwich

Listen to the ghost
Fill your ears with cake and bread.

Sometimes if you just read it again
Something will come
Sometimes if you just start moving
Things start to move

Ich esse schnitzel.
Ich esse das Leben.
Ich bin nicht Schwer.

I am floating through
I’m not fighting the air
I trust it
The air is there always
Hold it
Let it hold you

When you are flying  Like a bird… Saturday / November 8, 2014 #SchwervonPoetry

When you are flying
Like a bird
There is a chance
You will shit on people
But it’s no reason not to try

Sometimes you wake up in a cold room
Sometimes you just have to
Wear that shit around for a day

Playing soccer with a dog
Leipzig skyline
You are apeaking
In broken English
But what you say fixes
Something inside me

It’s always time
Time fixes everything

Danke für alles!
Alles gut.
Alles klar
Herr Kommissar!

Taxes for the poor.
And Texas for the rich.

People talking, talking, talking
Like a room full of bubbles
Plop plop pop pop pop
Everyone is pop and plopping
Everyone is popping.

I hear the bottles in the distance.
The glasses being cleaned
Glasses being used again
The glass in glasses
Being used for glasses

The glasses thinking at the bar
They are the only music
Some people will dance to.

We turn it up.
We we break things.
We sweep up the broken glass
The circus of life continues.

Always. We can’t turn it off.
So we must learn to love it
We must unlearn
That it was ever supposed to
Be anything less than
Love.

Stammering for a foothold…Friday / November 7, 2014 #SchwervonPoetry

IMG_4326.JPG
What would you do
If you were stuck
Staring at the ass
of a truck All day?

Snot factory
Don’t forget
Life is filled with wonder and joy

Jerking off is only
Toxic when it’s in public

You told me if I drank this
I would remember my dreams
But you lied.

Stammering for a foothold

The world rewards those
who enter it

We are cars on the highway

All I ever wanted was
The best of both worlds

Twenty five years is a long time
For the reincarnation cycle of a fly

The problem with an open door
Is that you don’t get to pick
Your visitors

Twenty five years is
barely
Enough time
For a single breath to exhale

Everywhere you look
You can choose to see teeth
If that is what you need

I am okay with that

There are teeth in
In the wheels
There are teeth
In smiles.
