Hey! We’re excited to be sharing the stage this Saturday at Coda Bar & Grill in Kansas City, MO with our good pal from Des Moines, IA: Christopher The Conquered. Chris really showed us a great time up in Iowa last summer and we’re happy to have a chance to share him with our home town. Come on out and experience the full on possession! Also on the bill will be fellow, gruff voiced, fellow Iowan: H.D. Harmsen.  And kicking off the night our favorite local rabble-rousers:  The Quivers! The rug cutting starts at 9:30 folks! Do you like indie rock? Me too! Have I got a night for you! We are very excited to be sharing the bill with our pals from back east the incredible: Speedy Ortiz. Pitchfork recently described their sound as “…the squalling, guitar-on-guitar carnage of Archers of Loaf, the grungy mysticism of Helium,  with the deadpan wit of vintage (Liz) Phair…” And that sounds pretty good to us. Also on the bill is the amazing local art rock band Lazy. $5 adv./ $7 at the door. The fun starts at 8pm, this Tue. /July 16th at The Czar Bar. Check out the Facebook Invite for more info.
