As the giant slowly removes
His foot from my chest

I awake

In dreams we make love to the fat
Play cards with the pilots
Pick my teeth with tree branches

The morning is filled
With dirty carpet
And minor victories

Broken noses and
Stressed out waiters

The quiche of the day
Is melting in the glove box

Sticky rain and foggy windshield
The rules change with each pit stop

You’ve become kind with the
Dependence of strangers

Coincidentally stereotyping
Scolding the scolder
Learning how the faucet works

The hands are not always out to get you
Sometimes they are there to wave
To hold the flowers
Show us where the wind
Is blowing from

The cat at the top of the stairs
Has been waiting for us
His eyes are speaking like Alien waves
We must get very close to hear them

We must risk the hisses
and the sandpaper tongue

Who knows?
It could be good news

Charlie horse wake up
A future always yet to be determined

Bananas are great.
I love bananas so fucking much

But I was never meant to eat them

Inseminating silences
Aborting pregnant pauses

The river is unstoppable
But easily avoided

Discs of oil
Rays of light
Miles of tape and plastic wrap

Forgetting to remember
Remembering to forget

Not fighting the repetition
Holding hands
Feeling the breeze on the tops
Of our arms

Do you know the way to Dancyville?
Should we take the Music Highway?

There is corn on the way
And perhaps a golf cart or two.
Churches and grave yards
Horses and more corn.
There will be long slow hills
And if we’re lucky, local honey

Mountain clouds and a belt for all sizes
The air is fresh here
Even when it’s smokey
We blow it around
Feel it on our faces.
It whistle up our pants legs
Give us a little tickle in the rear

The air is not so bad here.
Love is in the air.
It can be
We must cherish it

Show Poem: June 10, 2016 in St. Louis, MO @ Foam #poetry

The blue sky is always there.
Through the screaming clouds
The torn trees
The painted lines

Stretching the waist bands
Snapping the bra straps
Cooking the chorizo
On hot sidewalks

Grinding the beans
With our ass cracks
Time to fill up? Fan food?
Kick ass trucks? Hot hot pancakes?

Yelling only makes the yellng louder
But it’s better with ketchup
Summer time specials
Cucumber penis salad
With a side of I don’t care
Smell the smoke through your bandana
Gaze upon the high hills the rows of hedges and xmas trees

The enormous wheel continues to roll on down the highway
We race past the tick tock shop, the budget motels, the ad here spaces and distant water tower

Nothing in its path can survive
